University of the Basque Country (Spain)
Matthew C. Cissell earned his BA in English at Southern Illinois University in the late 1990’s. He has lived in the Basque Country for the last sixteen years and has recently finished his PhD at the University of the Pais Vasco. His area of research involves applying the work and ideas of the late Pierre Bourdieu to the study of literature in general and specifically to the work of Thomas Pynchon.
