Pynchon's New Worlds

International Pynchon Week 2017

La Rochelle, June 5-9, 2017

Prerita Sen
Jadavpur University (India)

Prerita was born and raised in the city of Kolkata (Calcutta), India. After completing her masters in English Literature, she blamed the vast lethargic city for her perennial drowsiness and moved to Delhi to find herself some work. This ill-fated voyage led her to the closest thing to paid unemployment in a hyper-capitalist society: Internships! Now she lives fretfully in her cousin’s overpriced Delhi apartment and dreams of a happy reconciliation with academia. In the midst of presenting a new conundrum for herself everyday (or as a part of that very ritual), she happens to have realized her love for the ever baffling Thomas Pynchon

This presentation is part of the panel REAPPROPRIATING THE NEW WORLD with Kostas Kaltsas | Prerita Sen | Erica Tasch and scheduled in the Auditorium - Médiathèque: Friday 9 June, from 10:45 to 12:15, chaired by Sergei Macura.
