Tiina Käkelä-Puumala is a postdoctoral research fellow at School of History, Culture and Arts Studies, University of Turku, Finland. After her dissertation on death in Pynchon's fiction (Other Side of This Life : Death, Value, and Social Being in Thomas Pynchon's Fiction, 2007) Käkelä-Puumala has focused on representations of money and economy in contemporary literature.
